Introduction Proper procedures for management of keys are vital for both safety and security. These procedures are made known after realizing that one of the main reason for lost of items is because of the weakness in office key management system.

Beauty and Attraction

...The subjects of attraction and beauty are topics I have almost always found to be very curious and intriguing, so I was very excited to learn about them in this chapter. Before reading this chapter, I questioned whether our attraction to physical beauty is a disposition we are born with or if it is something that we become more responsive to due to the way our society promotes and idolizes it. I also wonder why people become so obsessed with this idea of physical beauty that they are willing to take extreme measures to obtain it. In this chapter, I was very surprised to learn that our attraction to beauty is not entirely the result of the culture we are raised in, but it is also due to our human nature. A study described in this chapter found that infants (too young to have been affected by culture’s idea of beauty)spent more time staring at attractive faces versus unattractive faces (p. 347).This supports the idea that we are born to favor physical beauty. But how do we classify what is beautiful? I think the idea, proposed by Judith Langlois and Lori Roggman, makes a lot of sense. They proposed that people tend to find “averaged” faces as attractive because they are more prototypical and familiar (p. 347). This made sense to me because in my introductory to psychology class, we learned that when people are asked to imagine an apple, they picture a red, shiny, flawless apple. We do this because it’s easier for our brain to take a shortcut by imagining an average of......

Attraction Safety

...importance of safety standards with the death of a park visitor that was ejected from one of their rides due to a lack of safety standards (Ariani, Rojine Sept. 2013). The company denies that they are not responsible for the death; however the investigation showed that the lap bar was faulty. With consistent and regular checks on the safety features of any ride, a company is able to show legally that they were diligent in assuring the safety of their visitors. Amusement parks such as the Disney parks have a reputation for ensuring the safety of their visitors, their safety record sets an industry standard. The Walt Disney Company has daily evaluations of each ride (attraction) by trained maintenance workers and has regular visits from OSHA for evaluation of the records of the attractions and to inspect the attractions regularly. Visitors expect to feel safe at amusement parks, having consistent standards would create an environment of safety within all amusement parks across the United States. Discuss pertinent benchmarking information (lessons learned) that makes them a good choice. Some of the lessons learned through the evaluation of these companies is the importance of evaluating the safety of rides, evaluate consistently the processes of the employees when loading and unloading a ride, and the value of consistent national safety rules and regulations. Disney sets the bar high for setting expectations of safety. Cedar Fair and Six Flags show through their safety records......

Undang Undang Melaka

...monograph entitled “Papers on Malay Subjects, Part I: Law”, reminded the law students not to take seriously these laws: Do not take these laws seriously. When one reads the Undang-Undang Melaka or the Undang-Undang Laut of the Malays, or the Laws of Bencoolen and Palembang, one should bear in mind that the so called laws were never passed by a legislative body; they are only “digests of Malay law” (Hooker, 1970: 7-8) Furthermore, Wilkinson explained the difference between digest and laws (code): “digest may give an accurate picture of the problems associated with laws, but at the most, it can only give an idea and not the actual laws practiced, and nobody will be convicted for transgressing its provisions”. R.O. Winstedt also is of the opinion that the digest is no more than a reference book whose rules are habitually ignored by a powerful Sultan or by a judge who is loyal to the Sultan (Winstedt, 1958:136). From the opinions of these two scholars, we can conclude that a digest of the canonical laws were referred to by the judges, unless there was a direct interference by a Sultan. In a note found in JMBRAS (vol 1, 1923:151) winstedt stated that laws found in the Brunei Sultanate was actually a version of the Undang-Undang Melaka: and fasal 19 of the Undang-Undang Melaka (Liaw, 1976) were referred to concerning the claims on fruit trees in Membalut. The manuscript of the canonical laws or digest may be only a reference book, but it is a book that is......

(Walsh – heron and Stevens (1990) citied by Swarbrooke (2002) The term visitor attraction can be difficult to define because people can be easily confused as to the purpose of visitor attractions. ...Attraction: Power of Love and Relationships Every so often the question arises, what is love? In antithesis to shared beliefs about attraction by many human beings it is not something that is mystical nor is it something that can hardly be assumed but there are lots of rules that oversee the manner. Love is a word that carries many meanings. Even though there are people who become attracted to others in the same way, still it occurs for various reasons with each individual. The paper that I am writing is about love and relationship. This paper will be addressing the factors of attraction, the human need to build bonds and relationships, and the three types of love which are, companionate, passionate, and compassionate. In the world that we live in and the many differences that we have with one another like race, backgrounds, and cultures love is the one constant that we all share in common. Love is what connects us to others all around the world. When you allow yourself to become connected with another human being you automatically set yourself up to be exposed to love. As the emotional human being that we are we learn to what love is and how to express it from the time that we are children during our childhood until we become adults and we begin to express love in our adulthood. On our journey from childhood to adulthood we learn that every relationship that we encounter is different from the one to the other. These relationships depend on the factors that are...

Interpersonal Attractions

...Interpersonal attraction can be defined as how and why we are attracted to individuals and the essential human necessitate to be with someone can be identified as the attraction between two individuals to form a relationship. Our social existence is dependent on the relationships we have with other people and these relationships are formed through key aspects like interpersonal attractions that are built from geographical, competence, reciprocal liking, similarity in beliefs and physical attractiveness. Having an attraction towards someone is what makes us choose who we interact with, and leads to friendships and romantic relationships. Psychologists have done numbers of studies over time to better understand why we are attracted to others and what factors make up our determinants of relationships. The component of being physically attracted to another person is a large degree when it comes to choosing relationships. It has been proven that people will generally interact with individuals who they find physically attractive. Now, thanks to westernized society, there are standards when determining which individuals are “good-looking” and they are often judged on their body mass index, waist to hip ratio, height and overall appearance. Although physical attractiveness is a key factor in the beginning stages of a relationship, it does tend to fade as relationships grow, and in turn, the above-mentioned factors start to play a larger role. Through physical and non-physical factors...

Undang-Undang Melaka Dan Undang-Undang Laut Melaka

Law of Attraction

...fghjklzxcvbnm Candace Parker [Type the document subtitle] 9/29/2010 | The idea behind "The Secret" is as follows: positive thoughts bring positive outcomes and you get what you think about in life. Furthermore all things living are comprised of energy and the idea is to channel that energy for your own gain. Clearly those who were interviewed during the making of the film had a handle on these beliefs and confessed that they were devoted to living life according to the rules governed by "The Secret". The Law of Attraction is the belief that thoughts influence change. “Like Newtonian laws of physics, that pertain to our interaction in the physical world, such as the law of gravity, these universal laws describe how we interrelate on more subtle levels, via our actions, thoughts, feelings and emotions. Of these laws, the Law of Attraction is only one.” – (Dr. Rita Louise). The Law of Attraction covers social attractions. What do people look for in a friend? What do men look for in a girl? What do girls look for in a guy? It all depends on what fits your wants and/or needs. It’s like the phrase “survival of the fittest” but with relationships. The easiest way to look at it is by acknowledging the idea that men try to impress women by strength, looks, and confidence. Here’s a quick scenario: If there’s one girl that 10 guys are battling for, who is the girl going to pick? She is probably going to choose the man who is the strongest, best looking,......
