From Best to Worst Fairy Tail is an on-going Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hiro Mashima. The story revolves around the adventures of a magic guild named Fairy Tail—one of the foremost magic guilds in the land of Fiore. This is a shounen manga (aimed at a young male audience) and has several other genres such as action, adventure, comedy and fantasy. It has been published in Weekly Shounen Magazine since August 2, 2006. The volumes are released by Kodansha since December 15, 2006 and at present it has already 47 volumes. It also has an anime adaptation which started broadcasting in TV Tokyo on October 12, 2009. Fairy Tail is considered one of the mainstream manga and anime nowadays. It even has a Filipino dubbed version. (Fairy Tail Wiki) Although it is loved by many manga and anime enthusiast, there are several flaws I noticed when I read and watched it. These bothering flaws made me stop anticipating its weekly update. Years ago, this was my most favorite of all. But not anymore. Fairy Tail is one of the worst anime I have ever known. How was I able to have a hundred and eighty degree turn? There are three main reasons why. Reason number one: The animation and illustration have been inconsistent. The manga did not retain its old illustration. In the first few chapters, characters appeared more mature because of the sharp lines and pointed shapes. At present, their appearances changed into
Tapan 2 something younger because of smoother lines and more curves. This style fits their characters more and is better because it can relate to most of their audience. What isn’t great is the extreme modification in animation. The change of the company which makes adaptations was the main factor for this. The old animation was better because the drawings followed the style of illustrations in…...

The Best and Worst in Diversifying Sports

...The Best and Worst in Diversifying Sports Abstract Professional sports leagues promote diversity among their players in varied ways and with varied results. Based on The Institution for Diversity and Ethics' 2012 Report for the Race and Gender Report Card, Major League Soccer is the best league to accomplish both. For one, they have the most diverse set of players, both in terms of race and nationality. Another reason is that the rates for both continuously increase. On the other hand, Major League Baseball is the worst when it comes to ensuring diversity among its players, with percentages of minorities in the league barely increasing and more notably decreasing. Both leagues, however, have diversity programs particularly for youth. These include scholarship programs, outreach programs, and training and recruitment programs. Despite these, the contrast in results cannot be overlooked. It is recommended that Major League Baseball expand their recruitment efforts to include partnership with universities and colleges for potential players. Promoting diversity in sports involves clearing the way for players of diverse backgrounds to participate in professional sports leagues. Right now, the major leagues have been exerting effort to do just that - implementing programs that ensure that the leagues are open to qualified players regardless of their cultural background. But the task is not as easy as it seems, and the results of their efforts vary. Based on......

The Best and Worst Ad

...Part 1: The ad that i consider as the best Chupa Chups: It’s Sugar Free I was attracted by this ad when first saw it. I was guessing what this ad try to express through it. After noticing “it’s sugar free.”, i cannot stop thinking of it. Chupa Chups broke the traditional way to promotion the sugar free product. Normally, the promotion method for sugar free products is focus on the health benefits of avoiding sugar or to make the consumers feel guilty for choosing products with sugar. They like to make you feel bad about being overweight then expect to sell you a different, 'healthier' version of the same product that made you overweight in the first place. Some products even tried to show all ingredients in sugar free products to tell customers that we don’t add sugar. However, Chupa Chups created new interesting way to express the meaning of sugar free lollipop. This ad tells customer the benefits by using ants avoiding the lollipop because there’s no sugar in the lollipop to attract ants. Ants are a complete and utter nuisance and known as liking sugar sweet things and everyone who has ever anything sweet knows the feeling of ants stop you from enjoying your sweet snacks. Based on this common culture between customer and company, Chupa Chups tried to tell customer this lollipop is really sugar free by indicating that ants are taking a detour around the lollipop. This ad leads me in the sequence of attention, interest, desire and action. I got attracted at first and...

The Worst Discipline

...The worst and painful discipline ever is spanking, but it is one also of the most debatable discipline methods and one of the oldest disciplinary actions throughout many decades. Spanking is a method of punishment in which an adult inflicts pain upon a child in response to their unsatisfactory behavior. At times, children forget to practice good behavior skills or they disobey their parent’s rules and commands, which results in being disciplined. As a frustrated parent continues to repeat commands and try’s to reason with the child it increases their frustration levels quite often. Most parents try their best to teach their child to understand what acceptable behavior is and what is unacceptable. When children are constantly disobedient, acting out at school or in public places, it makes the parent look bad and feel bad. At times, an anxious child likes to stick things in his or her pockets that do not belong to him or her or the child do not like to share things, when the time is appropriate. When out of control a child tends to talk back often trying to push the parent’s limits. After being loud, out of control and defiant continuously after being warned about a problem or punished in a less severe way repeatedly before actually being spanked, If the child still does not want to be obedient after the necessary steps have been taken then they should receive a more severe discipline such as a spanking. The process of spanking is a very agonizing and tormenting process.......

Worst vs Best Communcators

...Maria Roxana Iorio August 30, 2014 Business Communications Worst vs. Best Communicators How important is it to get your message across and be a great communicator? Communication helps us better understand a person or a situation, allows us to resolve differences, and helps us build trust, and respect. We all communicate and like to tell stories, but let’s be realistic- some people are better than others when it comes to communication. Communication process can either hurt or help a business. Poor communication can lead to negative consequences such as low employee morale and lack of productivity in the workplace. Poor communicators are unaware of the message that their body language transmits. Facial expressions like raising your eyebrows or rolling your eyes, are very important and they carry a lot of weight with the audience. Another bad sign of poor communication, is always wanting to be right. Wanting to be the smartest in the room pushes a person to be first to speak and dominate the conversation. This will most likely result in predictable and /or annoying conversation. Poor communication can definitely hurt your business, that is why is very important to improve your communication skills. Effective communications on the other hand, is the most powerful weapon that a business owner or leader can have. A great communicator connects to their audience regardless of its size. They could be speaking to one person or a group of one thousand people and grab......

Halloween's Best and Worst

...Kimberly Clark Professor Mitchell English G099 04 November 2014 Halloween’s Best and Worst It’s hard for me to decide which was the best of the costumes at my house this Halloween. I’ve never seen so many great costumes, mine included, squashed into one place! Between the red riding hoods, Angels, Cheechs, Chongs, Hard Core Swat Cops, Princess Peaches, Marios, Luigis, Unicorns, Devils, Cats, Vampires, and Indian Chiefs, I would have no idea whose was the best but, luckily for me Jesus showed up to my party! Jesus is a symbol of all things holy; he can bless your spirits and your wine all while kicking your ass at beer pong. He can choose whatever kind of attitude to have towards your questions about life. The Jesus at my party his name is Chris, friend of a friend who grew out his beard all year to play the role he was born to play; and that role of course was “Party God Jesus”. Not only did he absolve my guests and I of all our sins but, personally placed his crown of thorns a top this Heathen Pocahontas’ head curing me of whatever ailments may come to me in the future. Then handing me a cigarette he said “no cancer for you my child”. Now for the worst of the best this goes to the sluts that showed up at my party. While I can appreciate the sexy maid costume, or heck even the sexy Freddie cougar girl was at least creative but, I can not stand the girls whose costumes serve no purpose. A mask, and a tight dress does not a costume make. All in all, I can only imagine......

Hope Even in the Worst of Times

...Hope even in the worst of times Hope it keeps people going even when they think they cannot. I want to be that hope. When there is someone in need I want to be able to help them. One way I can be that hope is by being a social worker. I will be able to get a look into people’s lives and decide what is best for them. I can help those in need and figure out what is going on. Being a social worker I can give hope to many different people. Hope is very important to me for I grew up not in the best circumstances. I grew up hopping that a shooting star would answer my prayers. What was my prayer? Well mine was for my mom to give drugs up for us kids and get better. I also wished for my brother to be healed for the drugs she had taken while pregnant had affected his brain. The wish of course never came true and I had to put my hope in something new. I found Jesus to put my trust in and he helped me to be forgiving and loving to others even when they did not deserve it. I know that not everyone is religious, but I do understand the importance of hope. This is why I want to give hope to others and I believe being a social worker can accomplish just that. Dave Pelzer was the boy from A Child Called IT. Dave is an example of why it is important to help others and to look out for those in need. Dave is a boy who was abused by his mom and did not get help for years to come, but through this whole time he had hope. He still is hopeful to this day and with the teachers and......

“Worst Case Scenario” – the Nightmare

...Uyanga N Chapter 3: Case Study 4: “Worst Case Scenario” – The Nightmare 1. Overview of the issue: Small acute care hospital CEO received call from night supervisor. The four-bed intensive care unit (ICU) was full and the supervisor asked the CEO if one of the ICU patient could be transferred elsewhere to receive car accidents victim from Emergency Department (ER). One of the ER patient’s injuries was so severe that she had to get into the ICU in less than two hours because only the ICU had the necessary technology to keep this patient alive. Since there are no funds to add ICU beds, what steps should the CEO of this hospital take to plan for the worst case for a full ICU bed scenario? (Longest, & Darr, 2008) 2. Statement of the questions: 1) Steps CEO should take in the planning process Systems and processes are critical in decision making process for the worst case for a full ICU bed scenario (Hick, Barbera, & Keken, 2009) . First of all, CEO should have a meeting with all managers to discuss the issues and develop strategic plan to solve this problem. Planning the worst case for a full ICU bed scenario is affected by many variables. There are four key interdependent factors that contribute to an effective full-bed response: system, space, staff, and supplies (Hick, Barbera, & Keken, 2009). Moreover, managers should consider the underlying system components during their planning process such as command, control, communication, coordination, continuity of......

For Better or for Worst

...For Better or for Worst Sarah Stillman addresses the sweatshop debate from a primarily utilitarian standpoint. This standpoint doesn’t consider multiple important factors and is not an indication of how people actually act. In my opinion, Stillman’s stance reveals a failure to address the globalized nature of the sweatshop phenomenon with regards to the ease with which corporations are capable of moving their operations to other countries. On the other hand, she does bring up important ethical concerns that should be addressed. In her 2005 essay Made by Us: Young Women, Sweatshops, and the Ethics of Globalization, author Sarah Stillman provides the reader with a narrative of her experiences interacting with young women employed in Latin American sweatshops. She indicates that she believes that globalization – a process marked by the growing interconnectedness of global systems – has been lead to a proliferation of sweatshop factories in the third world and expresses concern that young women are “increasingly bearing the burdens of globalization while reaping relatively few of its tremendous rewards" . Although it is not explicitly stated in her essay, Stillman seems to espouse a primarily utilitarian philosophy in her moral judgements of the sweatshop industry. John Stuart Mill, an English philosopher and founder of the utilitarian school of moral reasoning, describes it as the following: [t]he creed which accepts as the foundation of morals, utility, or the greatest......

Worst Job

...My Worst Job Thinking over all the jobs I have ever had, I realized that there are many ways a job can be unpleasant. Many circumstances can cause a work experience to be bad, including long hours, unpleasant co-workers, and bad working conditions. The worst job I ever had was when I worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, or CNA for short. This job was very difficult for my family and me. I had just had my first child three months prior to beginning to work at a Nursing home that was about thirty minutes from my house. As one of the newer hires, I was automatically put on third shift, which was eleven p.m. to seven a.m. Between the drive and working the night shift, I was always exhausted. As a new mom, I found it extremely difficult being away from my child during the night. My husband had to take over the responsibility of caring for our infant son during the nights I worked. He worked second shift at a nearby youth detention center, so when he was leaving for work in the afternoon, I was just waking up. It was difficult to adjust to being awake all night and then sleeping during the day. The hours were a significant stressor on me, as well as my marriage. My son went to my mom’s house when I had to go to work. Then my husband picked him up when he got off work. Our conflicting work schedules made working at the nursing home a very unpleasant experience because of the hardships on my family. Working as a CNA is a specific calling that most people......

Worst Days of My Life

...Worst Days of My Life A simple life has a different meaning and value for everyone. Life is beautiful, but not always easy, it has problems too, and the challenge lies in facing them with courage, letting the beauty of life act like a balm, which makes the pain bearable, during trying times, by providing hope. I myself experienced a lot of bad days. I may say that because people are more negative, or better to say we remember negative things better than the positive ones. We may handle same problems and facts about life differently, not only because people are different but also it depends on the place, and time the action is taken. One of my worst experiences in life or better to say the worst days of my life was the first year I moved to United States. It was September 9th of 2007, when my family and I went to get our visa for the USA. I remember exactly that day that my brother was standing outside of United States embassy in Turkey. He couldn’t come in because he was over twenty-one, so he was aged out from the family visa that we were supposed to get all together. Everything went well, and after the interview was done we went out to see where my brother is. He was crying outside! He always had a dream of coming to United States, and for that reason that he got aged out, he had to wait for eight more year for his dream to come true. I assume that my mom had the worst day of her life, that she can come to United States, but her son can’t, and has to wait for eight......

Best and Worst of Spending

...The Best and Worst of Spending Barbara Cook-Snider ECO203: Principles of Macroeconomics Instructor: Marlo Chavarria February 20, 2012 The Best and Worst of Spending I am writing a paper in response to my class, Principles of Macroeconomics, in which we are to speak about the government deficit and what our thoughts are based on research. It’s easy to speak of what and why our deficit is so high, but there are many different opinions of how to fix it. Maybe there is no one certain way this can be done, I, mean to balance the budget without cutting many well deserved programs is a tough nut to crack. Let’s first look at why the budget is so high and what part does all this play in our growth rate that is affecting our economy today. “Sources for economic growth occurs when (1) society acquires more resources or (2) society discovers way of using available resources more efficiently. For economic growth to increase living standards, the rate of growth must exceed the rate of population increase. The economic growth is generally defined as an increase in real GDP per capita” (Case, Fair, Oster, 2009) “The current economic situation in the United States and most of the world is as precarious as it has been in decades. Despite the current, welcome feeling that we seem to have pulled back from the precipice of out-and-out global economic depression, the trends are negative in far too many areas -- most obviously, in the continued loss of jobs. I......

Strategies Best for Protection from Criminal Acts in Churches

...My reasoning for removing personnel security from the list is due to the minimal likelihood events like these would occur on a regular basis and pose a risk.Hiring security personnel or a law enforcement officer to monitor-guard a church during service is unrealistic and extremely cost-effective. Moreover, churches maintain the majority of their order of operation with the assistance of donations from members of the church and normally these funds help pay for utilities, food, and in some cases, the salaries of priests, pastors and other religious leaders. However if there were people willing to volunteer to be security then it would be a different story. It would work if there were under cover officers or security guards to help protect people at church. Even though in my opinion less people would show at church if they knew there were officers or security guards. I think that the information security would be the less pertinent because I don’t think that any vandal or anybody who wants to hurt people within the church by shooting at them would be concerned with any documents or paperwork within any church.   I don’t think that any disturbed person who wants to do a shootout would be concerned with any paperwork or documents that would be within a church, and if there were security cameras and at least one security personnel who could watch the security cameras for any suspicious activity and hopefully stop a disturbed person(s) from doing a shoot-out. Countermeasures or......
