Future Statement For this report I am to write of a technology that I could see evolving in the near future and so the technology I could possibly see becoming widespread is micro chip implantation , able to store, transmit, and capture data in real time with other chips or servers like using your identification or even a debit card to even a hand held gps unit and compacting it all into a chip the size of a eraser and implanting it into a humans limb now this by its self is amazing but then the limitations grow exponentially.
The first impact this could have would be with Society. Now Society as a whole might clash with this concept at first due to some fundamental human traits such as invasion of privacy, This chip if left unchecked could function the same as a gps unit and give someone the ability to track individuals making such things as missing person’s would be much easier to find.
The second impact would be Economy. This could change everything we know about current banking practices by allowing your banking information to implanted on this micro chip and injected in to yourself so that instead of swiping a card your data is automatically registered and updated with your actual bank to route funds and make payments and deposits.
The third and final impact I could foresee is Politics. Now imagine a world where your personal and life data is stored on your body and can be accessed there would surely be very little information that could not be accessed either by malicious ways or by honest inquiry. So that scandals become common knowledge and actually might make humanity as a whole to air out our problems if there’s no way to hide all the bad issues that arise so no more scandals by politics all of a sudden being aired by the news . If its all in the open would you be inclined to coming something…...

...Future Statement Genetic Engineering is in its infancy stage today. We have grasped the concept of it, but implementing all but the most simple of changes is still beyond us. I see many options in this field. From modifying our cells to resist diseases and cancer, to merging our DNA with the DNA of animals. The way I see things unfolding, keeping in mind how society is like today, only the people who make a decent amount of money can afford to get their DNA modified the way they want. Diseases will never go away due to new unforeseen possibilities. Athletes will have modified their DNA to add the strength ratio of a chimp or gorilla to be better at sports. With the rate at how long it takes the majority of the people to accept a new way of life (look at gay rights for example), buy the time the masses can change their DNA, they would have many rules and regulations up and running to make sure people can’t abuse the new found power. In fact by that time there will be failsafe’s added so a criminal can’t go on a warpath and kill thousands of innocent people. Businesses will use it to their advantage as well. If you need a security guard for the night shift, why not give him night vision on top of anything else that would be needed. We could finally explore the planet in its entirety due to being able to adapt to any place on it. Even with all the possible good, the down side to this is possible mutations. We could be no longer considered human. We could even go as far as......

The Future

...grave to us, yet if we were to possibly use wisdom, we may miss the pitfall all together. The wisdom of learning from the past, of individually taking control, making a change and not relying on the powers that be, is one strategy. “Makes me wonder if all the wisdom was given to King Solomon and none left for us”, but even he faltered. So then it begs to say is there any purpose, reason or hope. Do we just literally exist and go round on a cog wheel of time. Without straying too far from the point, there is allot of room left for speculation as to whether some of these conspiracy ideas are true. Were we just put here and are aimlessly wondering this planet. While I was doing this piece it brought up allot of question about the past, future, who we are, why we are here? How our world/universe came to be? Is this all about balance and not right or wrong? TECHNOLOGY seems to be our vice, we are moving very rapidly towards an I.ROBOT society where we become so reliant on technology, we become the vegetable scientist of the past predicted. We no longer seem to live in natural time and with nature. The sculpture is a representation of the state we are partially in and on our way to. The robot is to encompass technology and the era of humanoid robotics we are embarking on. Although IRobot was a movie, it does seem as if it could be a likely possibility of what is to come. With the woman half the size of the robot she is being torn apart as a representation of man’s state of......

...The new technology that is going to exist in the future will be a Nano Earpiece Turaion. This device will be hands free, it will only to attach to the user in the ear. What it is, a new modified, advanced, and shrieked version of a computer. Just that you would be able to control everything with your mind. For example, if you wanted to look for a song that you wanted to hear, you give the command in your mind, and the device automatically reacts to your command and bring ups the song. How this device works is that it reacts to the persons mind you see the brain gives out signals so the device is programmed to detect the person’s given signal and so they respond to the person’s command by bringing up what they want. This would benefit the society is easy to use, it can be carried anywhere and it would damage your ear drum. Those who work from home would benefit them, in which they would be able to do in chore or duty in the house while using the Nano Earpiece Turaion. Basically people of all ages will be able to use this device without a problem, it will make people lives easier, just by thinking about it they can use the internet and make payments, browse, anything the person tends to look up will be with a simple thought. I think it would do some impact in the economy therefore it will be used only by Wi-Fi so no more bills for the people using internet. I assume it will help politics in their work or any given relevance that could be useful to them for using the device....

...What is the difference between forward and futures contracts? Fundamentally, forward and futures contracts have the same function: both types of contracts allow people to buy or sell a specific type of asset at a specific time at a given price. However, it is in the specific details that these contracts differ. First of all, futures contracts are exchangetraded and, therefore, are standardized contracts. Forward contracts, on the other hand, are private agreements between two parties and are not as rigid in their stated terms and conditions. Because forward contracts are private agreements, there is always a chance that a party may default on its side of the agreement. Futures contracts have clearing houses that guarantee the transactions, which drastically lowers the probability of default to almost never. Secondly, the specific details concerning settlement and delivery are quite distinct. For forward contracts, settlement of the contract occurs at the end of the contract. Futures contracts are marked-to-market daily, which means that daily changes are settled day by day until the end of the contract. Furthermore, settlement for futures contracts can occur over a range of dates. Forward contracts, on the other hand, only possess one settlement date. Lastly, because futures contracts are quite frequently employed by speculators, who bet on the direction in which an asset's price will move, they are usually closed out prior to maturity and delivery usually never happens. On......

...Future Statement I can't say for sure whether the world will be a place after 100 years, because I think one part will change for the better, while another part will be worse. In the technology, everything has a different type. Many new machines have been invented. Those things will help people more efficiently. You can finish a lot work by one touch. You just hold a small remote, and it will order everything. For example, the car will drive to your house by itself according to your orders, the TV will choose the best program and tell you what the important news is for you today. We will have no traffic jams because the cars will fly in the sky, you don't need to drive them because everything is automatic. On the other hand, when we get so many new things in our life, which will cause some problems in life. Maybe people will feel strange around other people, because we will hardly talk to one another. We have known all of the answers by modern machines. We use the Internet to connect everything, however we need to consider that face expressions and physical touch are very important to human beings. This world is full of the benefits of technology, therefore we are sometimes depending on technology too much. For example, one person would not move from there household. He can order something to eat by telephone, he can also buy clothes by Internet. This kind of service is used delivery system, so he doesn’t need to move from his house. This is one of benefits of......

Unit 5 Assignment 1 Future Statement

...Human Gene Splicing An aspect of the future I chose was human gene splicing. I got the idea while watching reruns of Batman Beyond with my daughter. In my future scenario, human beings would be able to directly manipulate their genomes through biotechnology, and combine them with other species of animals to alter, enhance and add abilities and traits they do not currently have. In this scenario, human beings would have greater strength and vastly superior senses through the combination of their genes with those of animals like the great apes and dogs, and the ability for humans to not just survive but thrive in climates where we are currently unable by endowing ourselves with some of the physical invulnerabilities of lower animal species specific to environs we want to be better able to inhabit. There would also be greater resistance to disease and increased life expectancy by combing our genes with those of animals with low incidents of disease. For instance, Carl Luer of the MOTE Marine Laboratory’s Center for Shark Research says, “Immune cells already in the shark's blood may be available to respond without a lag period, resulting in a more efficient immune response." (Handwerk, 2003) Perhaps by genetically modifying our genomes with that of sharks we could be free of cancers. The impacts from these changes would be vast, as well as the drawbacks and moral conundrums they could possibly create. For example, I envision a whole new industry of biotechnology firms......

...Imagine that the world had more energy. What if you could always wake-up refreshed? Imagine 15 years from now, on every street corner in America and around the world their where “Dream Stations”. A place where you could go in like your local coffee shop or internet café, step into a selected booth and capture a full 8 hours of rest in a matter of 15-20 min!!! Imagine a world filled with energetic and productive people, who only make for a better, more rested society. Enter your “Dream Station” and Rev-Up!! The booth would have a walk up space and an area for your head, to put on a specially designed helmet that puts you to sleep in an instant. The signals and frequency’s coming from the helmet, would send signals to the respected part of the brain for sleep and energy. It would bring you to a trance like state, to give you what feels like a full night’s sleep! It would also go to another phase, where a few minutes before your time is finished, it would go to an energy reboot stage, where it enhances your alertness, thinking, and awareness before you disconnect from your headset. This would be the most revolutionary thing that our society has seen. This could actually make for a better society. Imagine the productivity that would be accomplished if people could stop to rest literally! Our society would run smoother, and more efficiently. No more grumpiness because of tiredness or lack of sleep and energy. This would greatly increase our economy due to more people...

...Tyrel Cain 10/232014 GS1140 Future Statement The technology that I chose to write about is the computer on the go technology like tablets, computers on the wrist and also the best computer of them all the cellphone. This technology will be the corner stone of the future there will be no need to have one at home and even a physical one at all because everything will be implanted into your body with a chip at the back of your head and the keyboard implanted into your hand. I know this sounds a little weird getting implants but in the future they will be installed once you are born and changed out as you grow up so it will become a normal part of society. With this I think that peoples personal information would definitely be more secure because there would be no way that you would leave your cell phone because its implanted in you and no one can just pick it up and walk away or pick your pockets for your credit cards because everything is in an online system. It would greatly help education because all you have to do is set the subject that you want to study on a link to your brain and you would study as you sleep so when you wake up you know everything that you put to play while you were sleep it is more convenient and you won’t have to take away hours from regular daily tasks to study because you do that as you sleep. The best part of this technology is the security system it wouldn’t be a tradition password or code the locks to programs and bank accounts and anything......

...Research Paper Number 2 Have you watched Family Guy where the character “stewie” is able to travel back in time and/or the future revisit or relive events? The next amazing technology that will be available is the new time machine. This device is compact and looks just like a watch but instead of telling the current date and time, this device is going to be able to allow you select the date and time where you would like to travel. Picture this, want to know what the answers are going to be on your next quiz in Professor Frierson’s Problem Solving class? Well guess what you can time travel into the future to get the correct answers and make an “A” Don’t feel like coming to class? You can miss class get counted absent and travel back in time to be marked present. Of course there are so many other reasons that you can travel in time and accomplish such as saving someone’s life, modifying different events such as preventing wars, changing your wealth and education, changing laws and preferences. In the future you can view all of the changes that you have made in the present and past. The great thing about the time travel is that you can travel to in the future and scope out what has been affected and if it is something that you don’t like, then you can always travel back in the past and make changes to what you see fit. Another great reason to have a time travel device would be if there is a part of you past that you wish that you can just relive, you can always go back and......

...Unit 5: Future Statement Problem Solving Theory Mr. Hall By: Zachary Taylor April 13, 2015 What does the future hold? I believe that the future is going to hold much advancement in technology that will continue to change how we live everyday life. Just look at our civilization 100 years ago. At that time the automobile was just starting to become popular. At that time the computer did not exist, and when humanity finally invented it, it was the size of an entire room. Now we can basically carry small computers, called smartphones, right in our pockets. In this paper I will discuss a technology that I believe is going to take over the video gaming industry. There is a misconception on what the first videogame actually was. Most people would when asked would say Pong, Pac-Man, or Asteroids. These games came about in the 1970’s and 1980’s. The first actual videogame, however, was created in 1958 by William Higinbothan, who was a physicist in the employment of the Brookhaven National Laboratory. Since then, like all of the other technology we have, the video game industry has continued to be revolutionized, with new consoles coming out that can perform faster, and with higher graphics than its predecessor. We are at the point where current video games have such high graphics, that they literally look like real life. Now that we have hit that threshold, a big question for many gamers was what is next? Where do we go from here? I believe the answer is Virtual Reality......

...In the future, I see tablets taking over the computer in the home, office/work place and in our schools. We can already see some of this taking place now. Testing for the work place and schools is taking place all over our country. In the home, the tablet is becoming more and more dominate. On society as a whole, tablets are saving us time, money and overall making our lives easier. Schools are implementing tablets in students’ lives, making learning easier, saving tax dollars. Students are able to access the internet from where they sit in the class room, instead of wanting on their turn at the computer or going to the library, both are at the touch of their fingers. In the work place, it is saving us time, money and energy. Employees are accessing information/documentation from the office everywhere they go. In the home, the tablets are easing our minds and making our lives easier by the touch of finger. Apps on these tablets are the can help keep our homes and families safer by turning on and off our lights, setting the “forgotten” security system, closing the garage door, turning on security cameras so we can see who is home, (such as our children), if they are supposed to be there or not, and list can go on and on. On economy, it is constantly changing. For the publishing world, it seems the tablets are causing decreases in actual published material and increasing the digital published material. People are changing to digital for several reasons; the......

...strategies pre and post internationalization, for situations where the risk materializes, so that they can adapt in a timely manner and they are able defend their interests. Thus it becomes a shield against the vicious effects of globalization. Of course, all of these have as a result the increase of the effectiveness of the international economic activities. 2) The introduction of "thresholds" of risk: Country risk is a useful criterion for the foreign affairs when establishing the optimal level of the investment, for the credit or for purchase of financial products, but the main disadvantage is represented by the relativity of the score assigned to quantitative factors and particularly to the political environment. This is because future developments are expected and the anticipation accuracy depends on access to information sources, relevance of data used and the level of training of those involved. 3) Rating is used in setting prices for external loans and for speculative spreads titles. Because it acts as a ceiling on the corporate rating, indirectly it influences the ability of financing by external loans and implicitly, their profitability. Thus, access to international financial markets is granted only to good rated entities (national governments or firms), whereas for others, the cost of indebtedness is very high. Although metaphorical, highly suggestive seems in this sense the words "bankers give you the umbrella when the sun comes out and they take it......

...The future has many possibilities, positive and negative. There are endless amounts of studies and research being done to help bring forth tomorrow and a legacy we’re proud to leave to our children. One of the major problems we’re facing today is Oxygen consumption. We have no way of producing Oxygen efficiently, other than photosynthesis. Well, a student of the Royal College of Art by the name of Julian Melchiorri, along with help from the Tufts University Silk Lab, has helped us take a giant leap towards a real solution. They have created a synthetic leaf that breathes just like a real one. “The leaf is made up of chloroplasts from plant cells, the part where photosynthesis happens, suspended in a web of silk protein. The protein was extracted from natural silk fibers” (International Business Times, 2014). This means that, with a small amount of energy, water, and light, we can produce fresh Oxygen anywhere without the limitations of agriculture. “My idea was to use the efficiency of nature in a man-made environment” (Hobson, 2014). The first thought that comes to mind when those words were uttered: Deep-Sea and Space Travel. If we are able to produce Oxygen synthetically, then we no longer need Oxygen tanks for submarines or spacecraft. We can traverse all of these new reigns without worry of running out of breathable air. Who knows what we’ll find there? Most likely case, we’ll discover species we’ve never known to exist, and those that were only rumors for generations....
