Grilled Cheese and Sex Sex can be related to just about everything a person does every single day. It is one of our most basic and primitive instincts to want to reproduce. Sex can be the reason a person dresses nicely, workouts, and even aspires to be a successful person. An article posted this past week by fox news shows that there is a correlation between the numbers of times a person has sex each month and how much a person likes to eat grilled cheese sandwiches. The network surveyed 4,600 users in this study to find about the correlation of sex and grilled cheese. The survey not only showed what the most favored types of grilled cheese was but also showed that those who ate more grilled cheese had more sex than a person who did not like the sandwich. For example one probably did not know that 32 percent of those that prefer grilled cheese have sex a minimum of six times a month compared to only 27 percent of those that do not like the sandwich. It also showed that 73 percent of grilled cheese fans have sex once a month while 63 percent of those who oppose the sandwich have sex once a month. It is very interesting how such a distinct correlation could be made between the amount of sex a person has and their favorability towards a sandwich. It shows how society plays such an important role. The survey also revealed that those who prefer the sandwich also are more charitable and likely to more adventurous activities. It would be very interesting to see how a person like Alfred Kinsey could dissect the relationship between food and sex.

...Change of Weapons Love vs. Sex Mike Lago Prof. Inestroza ENG210: Latin American Literature February 21st, 2013 Sex, it can be a casual encounter between two people, or it can be that magical moment where two come together and make something more out of their relationship. The science behind it can get far too complicated, but when the sparks fly it is a moment most do not forget. Leading into now the stories written by Luisa Valenzuela. Her female characters all experience sexual encounters one way or another, some much more pleasant then others. The difference of some of their encounters differs greatly though. Some experienced true lovemaking, where emotions soared. Others had a casual encounter where pleasure was the only concern of both parties involved. In the essay, I Am Your Horse in the Night; Luisa Valenzuela tells the story of a young girl who is clearly very much in love with a guerilla fighter in the dirty war in Argentina. When she hears the knock on the door, her stomach drops. Is it really him? Is it her horse in the night? The door opens and there is her horse, with music and drink in hand. Risking everything to come see his true love. He does not fool around at all. He gets right to the point, Chiquita come with me, come to bed with me, he says. Many in our class described their relationship as purely sex. But why? Why would Beto come all the way from Brazil, just to have sex with a girl who he did not even love? To...

Co-Education vs Single-Sex School

...question being raised by the public is that between co-education and single-sex education, which will benefit our children more? As a teacher and parent, I strongly believe that the latter is a good choice. Gender-based classes can improve our children’s academic achievement through proper approaches suitable for their learning styles, foster better behaviors through promotion of role models and encourage them to explore who they truly are. [ok] As everyone acknowledges that each person has his own learning style, the learning style between boys and girls is not an exception, they are every different due to their physical and metal development. The development of boys’ reading ability is slower than girls’. Boys tend to be more active than girls. When boys know the answer they can’t wait to shout it out, in stead of girls would rather just understand and know the reason. The uneven development attributes to their different learning styles. For the better achievement, separating girls and boys to adapt approaches that fit their learning styles is the best way we can do. For example, in my grade one classroom, it seems like a disaster for boys to sit down to read, even the story they loved to listen. To girls, reading is such a relax thing to do. Both sides can’t have what they need the most, because I have to stay in the middle to look after each side obtain some but not too much. On the other hand, single-sex class using proper methods can provide what the student need......

Cheese

...Cheese is a food derived from milk that is produced in a wide range of flavors, textures, and forms by coagulation of the milk protein casein. It comprises proteins and fat from milk, usually the milk of cows, buffalo, goats, or sheep. During production, the milk is usually acidified, and adding the enzyme rennet causes coagulation. The solids are separated and pressed into final form.[1] Some cheeses have molds on the rind or throughout. Most cheeses melt at cooking temperature. Hundreds of types of cheese from various countries are produced. Their styles, textures and flavors depend on the origin of the milk (including the animal's diet), whether they have been pasteurized, the butterfat content, the bacteria and mold, the processing, and aging. Herbs, spices, or wood smoke may be used as flavoring agents. The yellow to red color of many cheeses, such as Red Leicester, is produced by adding annatto. For a few cheeses, the milk is curdled by adding acids such as vinegar or lemon juice. Most cheeses are acidified to a lesser degree by bacteria, which turn milk sugars into lactic acid, then the addition of rennet completes the curdling. Vegetarian alternatives to rennet are available; most are produced by fermentation of the fungus Mucor miehei, but others have been extracted from various species of the Cynara thistle family. Cheese is valued for its portability, long life, and high content of fat, protein, calcium, and phosphorus. Cheese is more compact and has a longer......

...In a matter of weeks, my entire life is going to be flipped upside down. I have enrolled myself in to a very treacherous and horrible class that goes by the simple code of COMM 1320. Public Speaking. Speeches, talking, being sociable, are simply not my things. I become fearful, tense, and nervous when I have to stand in front of an audience and give some type of presentation. For now, I have time, time to devote myself to becoming better, and get out of this closet of being scared. The character of Who Moved My Cheese? that I am most like would definitely have to be Hem and moving beyond fear. I have never been a big fan of talking in front of people. Whether it be explaining a small topic to a group of five or six people, or informing a class of about thirty people about a certain topic, I have never had the confidence to move past my fears and learn to become a good speaker. When it comes to any type of public conversation, my body instantly tightens up and I lose every train of thought in my head due to a lack of composure and mental stability. The smallest type of conversation can make me freeze up and cause me to become speechless. Any encounter with a stranger is definitely a good example. I usually stick with basics if I open the door for somebody or just greeting somebody, and I say “thank you,” or “hello.” Learning to somehow get over this would be not only beneficial to me, but to everybody that I associate myself with. Being like Hem is definitely not something...

Sex Ads vs. Healthy Food

...Sex Ads vs. Healthy Food Ads seems to be the primary subject matter. According to Fowles', people have a number of needs that appeal to their personality. “There are assumptions about personality underlying advertisers' efforts to communicate via assumptions have stood the test, they still need to be aired out.” Individuals, is likely to walk around with a range of unsuccessful urges and motives floating around in their minds. “Lust, ambition, tenderness, and vulnerabilities that are constantly popping up, seeking resolution.” These preferred viewers for the ad is both young males and females, also for men that have ugly wives or Horney old men that never get no sex at home. However, the setting of the commercial takes place on a beach near the ocean with Nina Agdal in her swimsuit laying on a teal color towel in the sand, apparently in connection to the item being promoted, a healthy grilled fish sandwich. Hardee’s is a pretty usual, fast-food restaurant that most of our country associates with obesity and unhealthiness as the current cultural preference is trending towards healthier, natural food options. The purpose is the model characterized in the advertisement is a white female, likely to be in her twenties. This leads society to believe that the advertisement is put toward young, white fit guys. A group of overweight individuals, children, other females and elderly people are not represented in the commercial, probably because they are not as profitable as the......

Cheese

...Research Project Cheese Origins, history and where it is now found in the world In the ancient eras, during the Greeks and Romans’ time, cheese was an important trade product and was mentioned extensively in the literature of the day (including in Homer’s odyssey, whereby Cyclops Polyphemus’s cave have description on cheese’s production). In the first century AD, The Roman writer Apicius states the steps in cheese production when writing. The Roman word for cheese is caseus, which is derived from the word casein, which means milk protein that is curdled to make cheese. The French word for cheese fromage and Italian is formaggio and Italian word, which come from the Greek word formos which stands for form or mould. Essentially, cheese is produce by curdling fermented milk then removing the liquid that forms which is known as the whey. The curds are generally curdled using rennet; a substance extracted from the stomach of animals such as cows, and salt is used to flavor it. It was unclear when exactly rennet was first used, but there is assumption that it was by the Etruscans, during the fifth and sixth century BC. The Romans were the ones who pioneered the method of cooking curds in cheese making, allowing for longer shelf life, enabling harder cheese to be trade and transport conveniently. The combination of bacteria used to ferment the milk, in combination with kind of milk and particular type of cheese-making method used, plus the action of time as cheese is......

Single Sex Schools vs Mixed Sex Schools

...Single Sex Schools vs Mixed Sex Schools South Carolina has more than 100 schools that offer single sex education (Hollingsworth, Jul 08-2012). This leaves a question which is: are single sex schools better than mixed sex schools? This questions raises a conflict among parents when choosing the type of school their children will be studying in. single sex schools are considered to be a new way of education since it has always been mixed schools. Some people believe that this new way of education is better than mixed sex schools. It is believed that mixed sex schools improve the academic performance, social life, and psychological status of students. Antagonists believe that mixed sex schools bestow distraction amongst the students which further affects their scores and grades negatively. Some also say that girls feel more confident and less distracted in single sex schools which will make them able to score higher grades than if they were in mixed sex schools. After all, they were proven wrong. Studies show that boys predominate in science subjects whilst girls shine in culture-related subjects and language. This aspect grants both genders to be more aware of their weaknesses which further awards the opportunity of peer learning. This makes both genders assist each other and mask their weaknesses thus improve their grades. There is no evidence that a certain kind of girl – or a certain kind of boy – is more likely to excel in single-sex than co-educational schools......

Traditional Marrige vs Same Sex Marriage

...Traditional Marriage vs. Modern Day Marriage Communications 215 Traditional Marriage vs. Modern Day Marriage Traditional Marriage is the social institution under which a man and a woman establish their decision to live as husbands and wife by legal commitments and religious ceremonies. Also defined as the state, condition or relationship of being married; wedlock. Marriage is a social union or legal contract between people that creates kinship. It is an institution in which interpersonal relationships, usually intimate and sexual, are acknowledged in a variety of ways, depending on culture or subculture in which it is found. (Merriam, 1967) Such a union, often formalized by way of a wedding ceremony, may also be called matrimony. I will build a foundation of my personal principals and moral values on traditional marriage opposed to modern (same sex) marriage, and their contributions to the American Family. In society today modern same sex marriage (also called gay marriage) is legally and or socially recognized marriage between two persons of the same biological sex or social gender. The synonym marriage equality is used especially by supporters of legal recognition of same sex marriage. These two definitions are on very opposite ends of the spectrums in society today. These two very different views have caused a lot of adversity and resistance to the American Family Dream. In closing, my personal viewpoint, religious and political standpoint on the issue may be......

Objectification of Women vs Sex Sells

...Objectification of women Vs. "Sex Sells": Where is the Line drawn Why is it that we have become impervious to the objectification of women today? Why do a large group of men and women allow and condone this type of behavior? A perfect example of this is my friend Chad. He is your stereotypical play-boy. In his mind he is God's gift to women. One day we were at the bar. He was doing his usually "surveillance" as he called it. Looking around trying to find out which girl would be most likely to go home with him just by their physical appearance. I thought of it more as his predatorily stalking like a hyena looking for a wounded calf in a herd of buffalo. (No objectification meant) His eyes fixated on a women in her mid twenties with red hair and a super model body. It wasn't an hour later that he left the bar with her, leaving me in the company of a sweating Heineken and a $53 tab. Two days later we met up and lounged on his porch in the late afternoon enjoying the cool weather. He began to brag about the red haired woman he took home. He nicknamed her "Lips" for reasons I prefer not to get into but spoke of her actions during their little sexual escapade. He spoke in graphic detail about things I just didn't care to hear. After a few minutes of this assault Chad asked me what I had done after he left. I don't know if it was anger that compelled me but something motivated me to do something I have avoided doing in a long time. I began to speak of an explicit......

Same-Sex Marriage: Liberals vs. Conservatives

...Same-sex Marriage: Liberals vs. Conservatives The political issue of same-sex marriage has become one of the most popular issues that our society has ever dealt with. Last year in 2012, it was considered one of the top political issues of the year. Same-sex marriage is the marriage of two people of the same biological gender and/or gender identity. Supporters of same-sex marriage will also use the term marriage equality when discussing same-sex marriage. Currently, there are countless amounts of people who are working to legalize same-sex marriage in the U.S. There are also countless amounts of people who are against legalizing same-sex marriage. Should two people of the same sex be allowed to get married? Liberals and conservatives have two very different answers to that question. When discussing an ideology’s view on a certain topic, it is important to refer back to the core themes of that ideology. The core themes of liberalism are: the individual, freedom, reason, justice, and toleration. The core themes of conservatism are: tradition, human imperfection, organic society, hierarchy and authority, and property. When asking a liberal if same-sex marriage should be legalized, their answer would most likely be yes. Liberals believe that marriage is a union between two people that love each other. It should not matter if that marriage is between two people of the same sex as long as they love one another. To ensure equality for everybody, they believe that......

Social Factors vs. Sex Roles

...Social Factors vs. Sex Roles Men should behave like men and women should behave like women. All over the world, a born child could be a boy or a girl, which means different genders. Therefore, both genders should have different sex roles and behaviors. What makes both genders behave differently is an argumentative subject. Some people say biological factors and others say social factors. However, they could be the social factors such as socialization, treatment, and role models. The first social factor that determines sex roles is the socialization. Boys and girls can be socialized to behave differently. According to the article titled Sex Roles, “most differences between females and males are learned through family interactions, socialization in schools, and the mass media. Thus, sex roles could be socialized. The second social factor that determines sex roles is the treatment. Boys and girls get different treatment; girls get more sensitive and emotional treatment. An example from the article titled Sex Roles is that adults describe girls as delicate, sweet, or dainty; however, they describe boys as bouncing, sturdy, or handsome. So, the treatment is important for determining sex roles. The last social factor that determines sex roles is the role models. Role models affect children’s thinking and behaviors. Sex roles article has reported that children can be influenced of determining which jobs are for them and which are not by watching the role models available in a...

Cheese

...Cheese I am definably a cheese lover. There are over 600 different kinds of cheese so you can’t get bored from eating cheese. My favorite dishes with cheese are pizza, any kind of Mexican dishes, macaroni and cheese, grill cheese sandwich, process cheese (just unwrap and eat), chucks of cheese for snacks, different pastas with cheese and of course the cheese burger. I love going to the Mexican restaurant and ordering cheese dip, it hot and you dip your chip into the bowl of cheese and it just makes everyone eating feel good. Conversation starts and everyone is laughing and dripping away at the cheese bowl. Americans typically use less than six different types of cheese in their kitchen: cheddar, Swiss, parmesan, mozzarella, Colby, and maybe blue. Cheese lovers should not limit themselves to the status quo; there are hundreds of types of French cheese alone, not to mention Italy, Spain, or America cheeses. Basic types of cheese are categorized as fresh (short shelf-life), soft or semi-soft cheeses (completely edible), blue/bleu (falls into every catalog but fresh), washed-rind (“Stinky” cheese), hard (firm to truly hard), uncooked pressed (“cheddaring” to prolong the shelf like), and cooked pressed (Hard cheese types must be aged for longer). All cheese is made from the milk of cows, goats or sheep. The process to make cheese can last from two weeks to years depending on the cheese that is being made. I want get into how cheese is made because frankly it is a......
