How to get out of a bad date
I think we have all heard it before, to be careful when you meet someone online and then see each other in real life because not everything seems like his profile picture or his bio. But we are very stubborn woman and we always learn the hard way. Well that was what happened to me and it starts with when we both agreed to finally meet. The day when I met him in person I seriously needed to reevaluate everything and say, “On second thought, I’m not really into online dating anymore”. Before my eyes was a man about four feet seven, and I am a five feet eight female, the irony is real. I surely couldn’t tell him in the face that he was a lying, ugly, and old man when it clearly said in his bio he was 24, and I am 21 YEAR OLD! In his profile picture he had a resemblance of Channing Tatum, but here in front of me he resembles papa smurf. I’m no model but I have to admit, I am easy on the eyes, with my blonde silky hair, and charming personality, but enough about me and my gracious good looks. He then motions for me to go inside the restaurant we are meeting at, which is McDonalds by the way, and of course he picked it. And the creepiest part, he couldn’t stop staring at me, and he had some sort of allergies which had him sneezing every five minutes, and I couldn’t eat my cheeseburger in peace. He kept saying jokes that were old as his soul and I kept awkwardly chuckling. That was it, I needed to figure out my game plan, my list of excuses, and a well thought out exit on how to get out of this bad…...

How to Get Fierd

...There are many different reasons why someone could get fired, but they all share a common process. Personally, I have never been fired, and I have no intention to do so in the near future. Through my experiences working, I have encountered several employees who were far from deserving of a job. The majority of these unworthy workers have had a common goal, which was to get fired. You too can get fired and keep the Welfare System working in your favor! These employees have taught me that there is a strategic process to getting fired, which can sometimes have very few steps. The first step in getting fired is to arrive to work late. There are to be no exceptions to this rule. You are expected to be late even on your orientation day. As a general rule, the later you are, the more pleased your employer will be with you, and the greater chance you have of having your employed status revoked. If possible, try to think of a witty excuse for your tardiness, such as “I was at my probation officer’s office,” or “You didn’t tell me I was supposed to come in today. Thankfully, I looked at the schedule. If I hadn’t, you just would have had to go on without me.” After arriving late to work, the second step is to stay off task as much as possible. Completely disregard any orders from your manager or supervisor. If there is a phone accessible, it is highly recommended that you use it for as many unnecessary, personal phone calls as possible. If a customer tries to divert your......

How to Get a Man's Attention

...thinking, how can a girl like me feel that? Its simple, I will give you the guideline on how to win your Prince, correct me if I am wrong gentlemen, so listen up Cinderella! Today I’ll be talking about the three factors that every woman should keep in mind when trying to win a guy, which is the external factor, the internal factor, and last but not least, her attitude. According to Crystal Mazzuca, its very easy to get any mans attention by the way you dress, especially since guys are visual. Therefore, dress to impress. Revealing clothes will get you attention, but will it get you the right kind of attention? A girl loves to feel that are all eyes are on her when she enters a room. That being said does not mean enter a room half naked. Stay composed. Be true to who you are. If you are uncomfortable showing all your skin that does not mean nobody will look at you. Flatter your body, subtly. Flaunt your features, just not all at once. There is no need to show every single shape on your body at the same time. Leave them wondering what else is behind that beautiful smile. If you are in a skintight dress showing every single inch of your body, what is left, your closed shoes? As if they are going to wonder, “Oh, I wonder what her toes look like.” Every morning as we get ready, we think of that someone we want to impress. Which leads me on to my next point. Stay delicate. A guy likes for a girl to be confident in her own skin. Show him you take pride in how you look,...

How to Break Bad Habits

...Bad habits interrupt your life and prevent you from accomplishing your goals. They jeopardize your health — both mentally and physically. And they waste your time and energy. So why do we still do them? And most importantly, is there anything you can do about it? I’ve previously written about the science of how habits start, so now let’s focus on the practice of making changes in the real world. How can you delete your bad behaviors and stick to good ones instead? I certainly don’t have all of the answers, but keep reading and I’ll share what I’ve learned about how to break a bad habit. What causes bad habits? Most of your bad habits are caused by two things… Stress and boredom. Most of the time, bad habits are simply a way of dealing with stress and boredom. Everything from biting your nails to overspending on a shopping spree to drinking every weekend to wasting time on the internet can be a simple response to stress and boredom. But it doesn’t have to be that way. You can teach yourself new and healthy ways to deal with stress and boredom, which you can then substitute in place of your bad habits. Of course, sometimes the stress or boredom that is on the surface is actually caused by deeper issues. These issues can be tough to think about, but if you’re serious about making changes then you have to be honest with yourself. Are there certain beliefs or reasons that are behind the bad habit? Is there something deeper — a fear, an event, or a......

Get the Heck Out the Hospital!

...Running head: The Business of Being Born Get the Heck Out the Hospital? Erica Wade Mesa Community College Abstract In the film titled “The Business of Being Born” directed by Abby Epstein in 2008, you are given information that supports home births being better for the US mortality rate of newborns and their mothers. This film shines light on the tactics used to change home births from a norm in society to a type of outcast or out dated procedure. This film breaks down a specific time line in which, certain medications phased in or out and when child birth went from a personal bonding moment between mother and child to a medical procedure in hospitals. The film displays the fact that the US maternity system has given reign of procedures and policies to the bottom line which is money. Get the Heck Out the Hospital The film stated that the US had the second highest mortality rate among other industrialized cultures. Which raises the question why is the mortality rate so high in the US. I have to honestly say while watching this film I did not receive a definitive answer. Instead poorly supported statistics was used to tie hospital births to the mortality rate in the US. However in the film it is suggested that majority of the deaths that happen in the US are mothers and babies that delivered in a hospital. But what is not provided is real facts and numbers, but it is not taken into consideration that if 99% of births are in hospitals then it would be true that......

How to Act on a First Date

...3/19/14 eng-111 How to Behave on a First Date Everyone has their personal opinions on how someone should behave on a first date. Now, whether it is for a male or female my top three things that a person should do on a first date are the following: make a good first impression , have good communication, and last but not least have some type of manners. A good first impression is all or nothing on a first date. I personally would not want to go on a first day with someone who looks like they just got attacked by a bunch of monkeys . On a first date one must look their personal best. What if you got asked out on a date with someone and on the day of the date they look super tacky and their hygiene is not at their and they just do not look attractive , right you would just want to leave and go home and call it the worst first date of your life. that is why first impression is a must on a first date. good communication is the key to a great relationship. So, why not get off to a great start by doing that on a first date. Don't be a rather boring person , both females and males hate having a boring date. spice things up have funny conversations about each other's childhoods or ask common "getting to know each other " questions . communication is great, it gives opportunity for both to express themselves and let each person see how one another's personality is. Last but manners are everything and more on a first date . once my friend and I went on double date. My then......

How to Deal with a Bad Boss

...Dealing With a Bad Boss: Strategies for Coping Printer-Friendly Version Share on facebookShare on twitterShare on emailShare on printMore Sharing Services614   by Randall S. Hansen, Ph.D.   Years ago, when I was a marketing manager at People Magazine, we had a boss who drove all his employees nuts. "Pete" would start wandering the hallways at 4:30 to make sure no one left work before 5, he would give assignments but then micromanage them to death, he seemed to enjoy being in everyone's business, and he rarely gave good performance reviews -- unless somehow it reflected back on him. We referred to him as Napoleon Pete. All-in-all, Pete drove everyone in the department crazy, and little-by-little just about every member of the department left. Pete is a perfect example of the workplace axiom that job-seekers join great companies but leave because of bad bosses.   Maybe you have a boss who is sexist or racist. Or perhaps a boss who takes all the credit for himself. Maybe your boss thinks you have no life outside work and makes you stay late everyday. Or perhaps a boss who gives out too many tasks with impossible to meet deadlines (or constantly changing deadlines). Maybe your boss is a pathological liar. Or perhaps the boss plays favorites.   Bad bosses -- whether ogres, control freaks, jerks, micromanagers, or bumbling fools -- can be found in all organizations. Pop culture loves to make fun of bad bosses, from the pointy-haired boss in the Dilbert comic strip, to the......

How to Ask Someone Out for a Date

...Writing (How to Ask Someone Out For a Date) Everybody fears rejection on asking someone out for a date; otherwise, there is no school for that kind of lesson. Actually we have to risk the possibility of rejection every once in a while in order to get the things we want. Asking someone out for a date would be easy without losing your sense of confidence and self-worth if you follow all of these steps below. First and foremost, being friendly with the person that you want to ask for a date is the key. Make eye contact and smile at the person, so this will show the person that you are interested in them, and give them the opportunity to return the gesture, showing that they are too interested. If the person looks away or doesn’t smile back, they might not be interested. However, it might also mean that they are too shy to reciprocate, so don’t give up quite yet. Find out what he or she likes if possible. This will help you think of good idea for a date. If this person loves music, find out what kind and invite them to a concert. In addition, be a person that she or he can rely on. It could be her, or it could be someone else in the room that you need to help. Is she carrying something heavy? Say “let me help you with that” and carry it for her. Is someone short on cash? Lend them a few dollars so they can eat lunch. Hold the door open for the next person coming through, even if they haven’t reached it yet. In other words, be a kind and generous person. Not only will it......
