Motivation Plan
Motivation is “the processes that account for an individual’s intensity, direction, and persistence of effort toward attaining a goal” (Robbins & Judge, 2013, p. 202). Each individual is special as they are brought up in life differently from one another. Each family and culture has their own set of morals and values. While many share a lot in common there are a few differences that make each person unique. Personal experiences also help establish a person’s moral and values. There are many ways a person can be motivated. These ways are to include but are not limited to achievement, status, money, promotions, self-expression, and helping others (Psychology and Society, 2015).
Kailyn Jones Kailyn Jones is a greatly respected professional in the health care field. She is the scheduling manager at Comfort Keepers. Comfort Keepers have caregivers that “travel to clients’ homes to provide care services and living assistance, allowing seniors and disabled individuals to live comfortably and independently” (Comfort Keepers, 2015). As a scheduling manager, Kailyn must schedule caregivers to meet and exceed client’s needs as well as handle any caregiver or client related issues. Many times when there is a call out or at least an open shift, Kailyn must be able to effectively motivate a caregiver to cover the shift. In order to do so she must know all of her caregivers well and know what motivates them. As a mentor she provides great insight in all areas of business and personal endeavors.
Beth King Beth is a great employee and asset at Comfort Keepers. However, she does have a Dominance style personality.
