...Nutrition Drive- Juice What is Nutrition Drive? Ask a captain or a person who regularly spends his/her evening on a sports field/court, you’ll certainly hear the problem of the not-so-nutritious diet made available to them in their hall mess & canteen. Our campus provides quality food at hostel level, no doubt. But those people who follow a rigorous routine of workouts, gym, road-running, weekly matches, this mess food doesn’t guarantee the total nutrition that should be. Nutrition drive is being initiated with this motive only. The Games & Sports Council wants every deserving player of its contingent to get the maximum benefit. How to begin? Every 6 days a week, from 8 30 to 9 30pm a juice stall would be booked in front of hall 3, specifically for sports people. The stall owner would be given a list of captain’s & vice-captain’s name on it. Students who are regular in practice and have attended the practice session on that day can avail this facility, this would be done under the supervision of the captain or the vice-captain, one of them has to be present along with them. Every sport that our campus students play has a different strength than the other. To account for this, number of students who can benefit from this activity would be limited & the thing most important to this, only regular students can utilize this opportunity. There can be 3 different types of Juices that can be provided, namely pineapple, orange & any other seasonal......

How to Be an Orange

...being an orange, want to stay fit and healthy. You want people to enjoy eating you. Here are some tips about the way you should look: 1. Work out to ensure maximum juice inside you. 2. Make sure you take care of your peel. Don't let it get brown. 3. Brush and floss daily to ensure you don't go bad while waiting to be eaten. 4. Enjoy being eaten; it is what you were made for. Let out lots of juice. People like it. 5. Don't squeal or make any noise when being eaten. People will get scared and will not eat you. Now that you have some idea of how to stay fit and healthy, let's take a look at how people react to oranges of different physical states. If you exercise lots, you gain lots of juice, and bigger wedges. People love this because the juice is refreshing and they get more of it from the bigger wedges. People will eat all of you instead of just half or part. You also want to be aware of not getting too juicy. If you do, you turn out to have sour juice, and people will call you 'poop', throw you on the table, and then in the trash. No orange wants to have their self-esteem crushed like that. If you take care of your peel, people won't just throw you away without even opening you. When your peel turns brown, they think you have gone bad and are rotten. So for all of you California oranges, no sun tanning! That goes for all of you. You should stay nice and cool in the fridge. Plus, if you stay cool, people will enjoy your large amounts of juice better.......

Florida Orange Juice Business Plan

...that this paper discusses is the current market for Florida orange juice and what businesses with investments in this drink, once considered a necessity for the breakfast table, are planning on doing to raise sells. The concentration, no pun intended, will be on the idea of a super hero spokesman named Captain Citrus. The article in the Wall Street Journal, Orange Juice Searches for a Fresher Image The Onetime Breakfast Staple Falls Victim to Changing Tastes and Diets goes on to talk about the different challenges that the orange juice industry faces currently. These range from a concerning decrease in demand among consumers, to diseases affecting the orange trees. Another important, but briefly mentioned problem is competition among other drink options. In the last decade many new faces to the drink industry have made an impact on consumers. Ranging from sugar filled energy drinks, to flavored water that claim a multitude of health benefits. The reality is that when health conscious drinkers think of orange juice, they tend to think of vitamin C. The other option would be Vitamin C, plus at least a dozen other vitamins and minerals minus the sugar. When the breakfast pick me up crowd considers orange juice as a jump start to their day, they probably weigh the option of an orange compared to a high octane Full Throttle or a mocha latte espresso double whipped whatever from some overpriced coffee shop. Orange juice seems to fit somewhere in the middle of these two classes,......

Orange Cake

...Orange Cake Ingredients 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (180gm) 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 pinch of salt (for whipping egg whites) 1/2 cup butter/margarine, at room temperature (112gm) 3/4 cup sugar, grinded (150gm) 2 large eggs (or 3 small ones), at room temperature juice from 1 orange (one third of a cup) zest from 1 orange (about 1 tbsp.) 1 tsp. vanilla essence Simple Orange Glaze Ingredients 1 cup icing sugar 1/4 tsp. orange zest (optional) 4-5 tbsp. freshly squeezed orange juice Instructions  First, separate the yolks from the egg whites. Set aside in different bowls. Grate the zest off the orange using a zester or the fine plane of your grater. Take care to ONLY grate the orange, not the white part (pith). The white part is very bitter and will change the taste of your cake, so keep turning the orange as you zest it. Preheat the oven to 170C. Grease and line an 8" round pan. Beat the butter and sugar until light and creamy. Add the egg yolks one at a time, beating well after each addition. Next add the orange juice, vanilla essence and orange zest and beat. Add the flour and beat it in. Set aside. Wash the whisk attachments and dry them well. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg whites until frothy, then add a pinch of salt to them and keep beating until the egg whites form stiff peaks. The salt helps to stabilize the egg whites. Add a third of the egg whites into the cake batter and stir it in with a spatula or wooden......

TOPE MARCH 2016 INTRODUCTION This term paper is about Orange Juice and how it is produced and gotten. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT My foremost gratitude goes to Almighty God, JEHOVAH, who has led me thus far. I also want to appreciate the effort of my Family members most especially Mrs Nwankwo Happiness .U. who has been helping me both financially and whose love has kept me going. Also my friend who helped me to type this work. ORANGE JUICE Orange juice is the liquid extract of the fruit of the orange tree. It is made by squeezing the fresh orange. Some commercial orange juice with a long shelf life are made by drying and later re-hydrating the juice, or by concentrating the juice and later adding water to the concentrate. Others are made by pasteurizing the juice and removing oxygen from it, necessitating the later addition of a flavor pack, generally made from orange products. It is known for its health benefits, particularly its high concentration of vitamin C. It comes in several different varieties, including blood orange. Orange juice is made from unfermented fresh oranges and provides many benefits for the body. Fresh orange juice is the richest source of vitamin C and fulfills an entire day’s worth of vitamin C in just one serving. Rean Juice

...instant juices from fresh fruits in the presence of the consumer.  It could be due to the non-availability of hygienically produced and well-preserved products with   the use of preservatives.  That is why some of the real but branded fruit juices launched in the late 1980s and early 1990s did not succeed.    There has been a steady rise in the capacity, production and capacity utilisation in the fruit processing units. The processing capacity had gone up from 0.9 mn tonnes in 1990-91 to 2.1 mn tonnes in 1999-00. The capacity utilisation improved from 31% to 47%, with the production in 1999-00 estimated to have increased to 980,000 tonnes. The official reports do not show any substantial increase in total output although branded drinks do show a healthy improvement. There is no general acceptance of the product forms in the fruit drinks market. The consumer is basically concerned that it is a fruit juice and not a synthetically constituted product.  Accordingly, the first segmentation is between real fruit drinks and synthetic drinks.  The former are based on natural fruit pulp or juice.  The others are synthetic products containing fruit flavours.  Among the fruit juice beverages are fruit juices (Pepsi's Tropicana), nectars (Dabur's Real) and fruit drinks (Frooti and Slice).  All these are real, reconstituted from fruit pulps or concentrates. The leading fruit juice brands include Real, Onjus, Tropicana, Frooti, Jumpin.  The   fruit drinks are mainly based on oranges,......
