My first thought is what challenge do I have and need to overcome in order to write a great paper. The first challenge is keeping the readers interest and attention. It is very important to keep your readers interested in your writings and it can be hard trying to read something that you are unable to keep your attention on. Keeping the information of my writings to the research and subject will help this challenge. Another challenge can be determining an appropriate style and tone for my paper. Being consistent with my ideas in my style and tone, will keep the paper flowing with information and the reader will be able to understand the point I am trying to make. The third challenge is being persuasive enough in my writings and research papers. Also, being able to put my thinking and research into words and get my point across, but also integrate enough material from my sources to keep the paper persuasive and catch the reader’s attention will provide the needed steps to a great research paper. When writing my research papers, the strategies I want to utilize for my challenges are: finding an interesting subject to do my research on, and utilize as much information I can to write an interesting paper. ...Running head: LEADERSHIP APPROACH Leadership Approach University of Phoenix Leadership Approach Countless managers work tirelessly each day to help create thriving and dynamic organizations. Some of these managers possess unparalleled leadership qualities while others lack the knowledge and appropriate people skills to motivate and empower employees. Managers and Leaders have varying definitions. A manager can be effective without leadership qualities and a leader can be effective without management skills. However, in chapter one of Organizational Leadership, Yukl (2010) states, “defining managing and leading as distinct roles, processes, or relationships may obscure more than it reveals if it encourages simplistic theories about effective leadership (p. 8). The following paper provides an overview to the leadership approach of behavior as well as provides a description of the strengths and weaknesses of this approach. Behavior Approach The Behavior Approach began in the early 1950s after researchers declared the Trait Approach as being an ineffective means for identifying positive leadership qualities (Yukl, 2010). Researchers believed the key to successful leadership included the positive behaviors management displayed while on the job. Additionally, management stated behavior research falls into two general subcategories: (1) how managers spend their time and the typical patterns of activities, responsibilities and the functions for managerial jobs and......

...we hear the word stereotype, we automatically think of the bad. However, there is a positive aspect to stereotypes, like the chance to receiving a better job, education, or other positive opportunities. For example, one racial stereotype that may help a race, would be that all Asians are smart. If this is a stereotype that people hold while interviewing someone, then the Asian person who interviewed may have a better chance at getting the job than someone else. What are the negative aspects of stereotypes? One negative aspect I believe comes from stereotypes, would be how close minded people become from stereotypes that are present. I think that there are a lot of people who are truly afraid to be who they are, because they are scared, influenced, or threaten by stereotypes that people hold and even voice. Part III Answer each question in 50 to 150 words related to those stereotypes. Provide citations for all the sources you use. Define stereotypes and prejudice. What is the difference between stereotyping and prejudice? Use examples to illustrate the differences. Stereotypes are unreliable or exaggerated generalizations about all members of a group, that do not take individual differences into account. Prejudice is when one holds a negative attitude towards an entire catefory of people, such as a racial or ethnic minority. For example, a stereotype against Mexican men is that they are all jobless. However, a prejudice against a Mexican...

As a field agent, you must determine the cause of a disease outbreak in the Los Angeles, California, area. You discover that the disease originates from contaminated halibut. You write a report to your supervisor, which includes a description of the physical dimensions of the fish (length and weight). Your supervisor asks that you send the fish and a report about the fish (length and weight) to the Pasteur Institute in Paris, France. Because France uses the metric system, you must convert the figures for length and weight. Complete the following chart by converting the inches and pounds to centimeters and kilograms: |Physical measurements of specimen | |Length (in inches) = 36 |Length (in centimeters) = | |Weight (in pounds) = 20 |Weight (in kilograms) = | 2. State the law of mass and energy conservation. Describe how you might demonstrate this law. 3. Adapted from Exercise 116 in Ch. 3 of Introductory Chemistry: Global warming refers to the rise in average global temperature due to the increased concentration of certain gases, called greenhouse gases, in our atmosphere. ...1) Explain the two different types of attacks that can be performed in Cain and Abel to crack user account passwords. Which do you think is the most effective and why? For the assignment we utilized Cain & Abel password recovery tool for Microsoft Operating Systems. For this lab assignment we utilized Brute Force NT LAN Manager (NTUM) and LAN Manager (LM) and Dictionary NTLM and LM hashes. (Features overview, n.d.) Brute Force is a password cracking -technique that tries every combination of numeric, alphanumeric, and special characters until the password is broken or the user is locked out. Dictionary is a technique that runs a given password against each of the words in a dictionary (file of words) until a match is found or the end of the dictionary is reached. (p. 13) Cain and Abel couples Brute Force and Dictionary with LM and NTLM hash. Based on my lab experience, my assessment is that the Dictionary NTLM Manager is the better of the processes. The table below reveals that Dictionary NTLM delivered more favorable results over LM because this process uncovered the passwords in the shortest amount of time and recovered the passwords in their entirety. Table | Brute Force LM | Brute Force NTLM | Dictionary LM | Dictionary NTLM | User1 | No password, 6-8 hours | No password, estimated time 10 years | yes, 75 seconds | yes, 40 | User2 | No password, 6-8 hours | No password, estimated time 10 years | yes, 30 | yes, 25 | User3 | No password, 6-8......

Only a small fraction of the remaining freshwater is usable by humans, underscoring the importance of treating our water supplies with care. Introduction It is no secret that water is one of the most valuable resources on planet Earth. Every plant and animal requires water to survive, not only for drinking, but also for food production, shelter creation and many other necessities. Water has also played a major role in transforming the earth’s surface into the varied topography we see today. While more than 70% of our planet is covered in water, only a small percent of this water is usable freshwater. The other 99% of the water is composed primarily of salt water, with a small percentage being composed of 23 Water Quality and Contamination glaciers. Due to the high costs involved in transforming salt water into freshwater, the Earth’s population survives off the less than 1% of freshwater available. Humans obtain freshwater from either surface water or groundwater. Surface water is the water that collects on the ground as a result of precipitation. The water that does not evaporate back into the atmosphere or......
